1. Introduction

Welcome to IronTier ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how Lev Shnaiderman collects, uses, stores, and shares information about you when you use the IronTier mobile application.

By downloading or using IronTier, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

If you have questions or concerns about this policy, contact us at irontier.support@gmail.com.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to all users of the IronTier mobile application, whether using the app as a guest (without an account) or as a signed-in user with a linked Google account.

3. Information We Collect

3a. Guest Mode (No Account Required)

When you use IronTier without creating an account, your fitness data is stored exclusively on your device using local on-device storage (SQLite). We do not transmit, collect, or have access to this fitness data. This includes:

Guest-mode fitness data remains on your device until you delete the app, perform a factory reset, or create an account and choose to migrate your data.

Note: Anonymous analytics and crash-reporting telemetry are collected from all users, including guests — see Section 3c below. This telemetry does not include any of the fitness data listed above.

3b. Signed-In Mode (Google Sign-In)

When you create an account via Google Sign-In, the following happens:

From Google Sign-In, we receive:

You voluntarily provide and we store in the cloud (Supabase):

Automatically collected:

Analytics and crash telemetry apply to all users regardless of account status — see Section 3c below.

3c. All Users (Guest and Signed-In)

Regardless of whether you have a signed-in account, the following data is automatically collected from all users of the App:

This telemetry does not include your personal fitness data (workouts, personal records, body measurements, profile fields, etc.).

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not use your data for:

5. Social Features: Data Visible to Friends and Groups

IronTier includes optional social features (Friends and Groups). These features are entirely opt-in — you must send or accept a friend request, or join a group, for any data to be shared with other users.

When you are connected to another user as a friend, or share a group with them, the following summary data becomes visible to them on leaderboards:

Data fieldVisible to friends/group members
Display name✅ Yes
Username✅ Yes
Bodyweight (kg)✅ Yes — used to calculate strength ratios
Sex✅ Yes — used for strength standard comparisons
Best estimated 1-rep max (Squat, Bench, Deadlift, OHP, Row)✅ Yes
Total workout count✅ Yes
Total training volume (kg)✅ Yes

What is never visible to other users:

If you remove a friend or leave a group, they will no longer have access to your data through those social features.

Note on sensitive data: Bodyweight and sex are health-related data points. They are shared with friends/group members as described above solely to enable comparative strength ranking. If you prefer not to share this information, you can leave the bodyweight and sex fields blank in your profile settings — this will result in rank calculations using default reference values rather than your actual data.

6. Data Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own commercial purposes.

We share data only with the following service providers necessary to operate the App:

Supabase (Cloud Infrastructure & Authentication)

Google Sign-In (Authentication)

PostHog (Product Analytics)

Sentry (Crash Reporting & Error Monitoring)

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

7. Data Retention

Guest mode: Data is stored on your device indefinitely until you delete the app or clear app data.

Signed-in accounts: Your data is stored on Supabase servers for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (see Section 8), your data is permanently deleted from our servers.

We do not retain data backups of deleted accounts.

8. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your IronTier account and all associated data at any time:

  1. Open the App
  2. Go to ProfileSettings
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm the deletion

This action is irreversible. Deletion removes:

Local data on your device (guest or signed-in) is cleared from the app's local storage. Note that standard device backups (iCloud, Google One) may retain copies of local data separately from our servers — this is outside our control.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

IronTier is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the App or provide any personal information.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at irontier.support@gmail.com.

11. International Data Transfers

If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where Supabase maintains servers. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries which may have different data protection rules than your country.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at irontier.support@gmail.com.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (such as via an in-app notice).
